Treatment (in progress)

In my final project I would like to explore the aspects of a dreamy-nightmarish world that is based upon a combination of my dreams that I have had. I would like it to begin with a girl lying in her bed and abruptly waking up in her dark room. But when she wakes she immediately realizes that she isn’t alone in the room. Out of the corner of her eye she will lie still, to keep the being from knowing that she is awake, and watching the silhouette of the dark figure (silhouetted by the light from the window beside the bed). He is putting a mask on. After he finishes he lies still and the girl is still watching. All of the sudden a hand slams down on her chest, she looks down to find a skeleton hand to which she looks over and sees a man’s face to which she shrieks “Dad?” She goes under the covers to get away from it and slides out the side and darts to the other side of the room to turn on the lights. To her surprise the being is gone. She walks out of her room into a bank, in which her father and her are standing at the window (we don’t see the teller, but we hear her say there is a problem with his account). In a close up of the girl we hear her say, “oh god, I hope they don’t tell him he is dead.” This all fades away and the girl is walking down a hallway of a hospital wing. She walks into a room with a man lying in the bed and he is yellow, stiff, and mouth and eyes are wide open. It is her father, and he is dead. She walks out.
I know that this seems a bit difficult for me to be shooting myself, but I plan to stage this stuff. Such as the woman in the bank, I plan to stage with just a female and some sort of window in a friend’s house or somewhere. Or, the hospital scene shot in a different space than an actual hospital. I don’t think that this will be too difficult. The other issue is finding the man to play the father. I am open to as many tips on how to do this sort of staging thing. I really want this project to turn out really strange, mixed-up, and creepy. I am guessing that for the skeleton arm I could just use a regular arm and draw in the other details to make it a skeleton. The other thing that could pose a problem is the length of the entirety of this story. I believe that I will be able to break this down enough that it won’t turn out too long to actually finish by the deadline. I want it to jump from moment to moment, not even necessarily making sense in terms of the temporal or spatial continuity. But, the connections between all of them is this girl and also the theme of her dead/live father. At the moment I plan to stick to rotoscoping, but I would also like to play a bit with the 3D camera, maybe specifically to give that strange dreamy effect and in the transitions between spaces, such as one space moving apart as the character moves into the next space, much like the activity with the clouds that we did in class. I could also see the use of fabric textures that I scan for the fill technique for many of the objects.
